Leslie Howard

Leslie was born and raised in Orange County, CA. She has participated in a wide range of athletic pursuits. In high school she ran Varsity Cross Country and Track where she developed a strong foundation in endurance and discipline needed to compete at a high level. Her passion for running continued into college where she trained and competed in several marathons and half marathons.  Over the years Leslie’s interests have evolved to include her current focus on competitive powerlifting.  Her favorite lift is back squats.

Leslie currently works as a home health nurse, where she provides clinical care, education, and support to patients in the comfort of their own homes. In this role, she is responsible for managing a wide range of patient needs, from administering medications and wound care to monitoring chronic conditions. Leslie’s approach is rooted in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and empowered to manage their health. Beyond just providing clinical care, she focuses on educating patients and their families, helping them better understand their conditions and the steps they can take to improve their quality of life. Her work in home health allows her to take a holistic approach to care, considering not just the physical needs of her patients, but also their emotional well-being and home environment. By offering personalized care plans, guidance on lifestyle modifications, and hands-on support, Leslie plays a vital role in helping individuals regain independence, manage their health more effectively, and navigate the challenges of recovery or ongoing health management.

Leslie has joined the Rock team to combine her passions for physical activity with a focus on wellness and holistic care.  She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Azusa Pacific University as well as a Master’s in Nursing Leadership from Western Governors University.  Leslie is currently attending University of Cincinnati in order to further her education and become a Family Nurse Practitioner.  With advanced training and a focus on patient-centered care, Leslie combines her medical knowledge with a strong belief in the power of preventive health and whole-body well-being.  As a Nurse Practitioner at ROCK Institute, she will be uniquely positioned to offer a comprehensive approach to health, focusing not only on diagnosing and treating illness but also on promoting long-term wellness through lifestyle changes, exercise, and nutrition.
