Rock Athlete – Hayley Hodson

I have been playing volleyball since I was eight years old, but it wasn’t until age twelve that I really took off with it. I fell in love with the game and decided I wanted volleyball to be my future. I play for Tstreet Volleyball club where we have been the number one team in Southern California and the number three team in America for two years in a row. However, up until last year I had had very little training outside of a volleyball practice.

Last November, I started training with Tyler at the ROCK Institute. With Tyler, I have improved my vertical jump and gotten stronger in almost every aspect. Thanks to ROCK Institute, I have been able to take my volleyball game to the next level. This summer, I was fortunate enough to be selected to compete on the USA Youth National Team. We traveled to Thailand for the U19 World Championships where we won a silver medal.

This fall, I was also invited to compete for USA in the U23 World Championships. Without my time training at the ROCK Institute, I would not be where I am today. I hope some day to make the US National Team, and thanks to Tyler and the Rock, these dreams are becoming more and more tangible. My time at the ROCK Institute has challenged me physically, but it has also taught me to work hard and never give up.
